University of Toronto rethinks gender neutral bathrooms

University of Toronto rethinks gender neutral bathrooms.

The university came up with its gender neutral policy and began it with a big on campus campaign to educate students on the necessity of the new policy. But just two months later it is rethinking its decision and is limiting the number of gender neutral bathrooms.

Just a few weeks after the change in bathroom policy there were two separate incidences at the Whitney Hall residence where someone reached over the shower partition with a cell phone camera in an attempt to record women taking a shower.

Whitney hall once again has bathrooms dedicated for both male and female. The also have bathrooms that are gender neutral for those who prefer them.

No one wants someone to feel threatened when using a public bathroom. That is exactly what you get when all bathrooms become gender neutral. Adding bathrooms that are gender neutral along with dedicated bathrooms for men and women is a much better solution than sending men into women's bathrooms.
